In short: Remote Papi doesn't collect, store or share any personal data. It talks only to the TVs on your own Wi-Fi network.
What the app does with your information
Remote Papi controls smart TVs by sending commands over your local Wi-Fi network. To do that it:
- Finds TVs on your network. It checks the devices on your local network for supported TVs. iOS asks for your permission (“Local Network”) before this happens.
- Remembers the TVs you add. The name, network address and model of each TV you save are stored only on your device.
- Keeps pairing keys private. Keys a TV issues when you allow the app are stored in your device's Keychain.
None of this information ever leaves your device, except for the commands sent directly to your TVs over your own network.
What the app does not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising, analytics or tracking of any kind.
- No data is sent to us or to any third party. We run no servers for this app.
- No location data is collected.
Emailing support
If you tap “Email Support”, the app opens an email draft with your app and iOS version, the saved TV's brand, model and network address, and a short technical log. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it, and you can read and edit the email first. We use what you send only to help with your request.
Face ID
If you lock Simple Mode, iOS handles Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. The app only learns whether unlocking succeeded, never your biometric data.
Deleting your data
Delete a saved TV in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Trademarks
Roku, Samsung, LG, Sony, Google TV, Android TV, TCL and Hisense are trademarks of their respective owners. Remote Papi is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
